Awakening of empathy leads to compassion. This statement summarizes my entire approach to coaching.
Your pain experience has to be the motivation behind your wish to be a coach. It has to provide the content and the structure to your coaching. Would you agree?
My coaching philosophy is “Discover your pain and then make sure to do everything and anything so that no one else will be hurt by it.” If this statement is aligned with your passion for serving, then I invite you to take the next step.
Your core value is always linked to the experience of pain and therefore, the pain helps you realize its significance for your life. For instance, Malala Yousafzai who was shot by the Taliban in Pakistan is fighting for her right to go to school. The pain that this experience brought emphasizes the importance of education as her core value. Would you agree that education will play a big role in her future?
Your pain will help you get in touch with your core value and bring a level of awareness to create your business from this place. During the coaching training, you will become a “client,” receiving coaching from your partner whom you will also coach. This way you get the experience of the process of transformation from both sides. In the end, you will have content that will be uniquely yours, and you will be able to find the right message and structure that goes along with it.
I believe that your healing from your past pain only comes full circle when you become a messenger of change. Every time you help one person heal, you heal your own emotional scarring from that hurt, and you complete the cycle of healing.
Walking the walk and talking the talk will make you a much better coach.
